Attorney Lavenia D. Santos has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1989. She graduated summa cum laude from Florida Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Psychology then later attended University of Miami School of Law.
While in law school, she participated in the Trial Advocacy Program under the direction of Judge Daniel Pearson where she focused on advanced litigation skills. After graduation, Ms. Santos worked with several plaintiff’s personal injury law firms dealing in mass tort litigation, medical malpractice, and product liability cases.
From 2008-2015 Ms. Santos worked in the corporate realm in New York dealing with government compliance areas involving HIPAA (patient privacy rights) as well as regulatory requirements for electronic discovery. While in New York, Ms. Santos also volunteered at Legal Services, an organization dedicated to providing legal services to low income families. After several years in the corporate realm, she returned to South Florida and became the founding partner of the Florida Justice Law Group. Her practice areas includes Unsafe Drugs and Medical Devices, Hernia Mesh Litigation, Medical Malpractice, and Personal Injury cases.
