Lavenia D. Santos, Esq.

Attorney Lavenia D. Santos has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1989. She graduated summa cum laude from Florida Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Psychology then later attended University of Miami School of Law.

Dianne 3While in law school, she participated in the Trial Advocacy Program under the direction of Judge Daniel Pearson where she focused on advanced litigation skills.  After graduation, Ms. Santos worked with several plaintiff’s personal injury law firms dealing in mass tort litigation, medical malpractice, and product liability cases.

From 2008-2015 Ms. Santos worked in the corporate realm in New York dealing with government compliance areas involving HIPAA (patient privacy rights) as well as regulatory requirements for electronic discovery.   While in New York, Ms. Santos also volunteered at Legal Services, an organization dedicated to providing legal services to low income families. After several years in the corporate realm, she returned to South Florida and became the founding partner of the Florida Justice Law Group. Her practice areas includes Unsafe Drugs and Medical Devices, Hernia Mesh Litigation, Medical Malpractice, and Personal Injury cases.

Jay Pinckney Cabal, Esq.

Attorney Jay Pinckney Cabal has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2023. He graduated cum laude from Florida Gulf Coast University with a B.S. in Legal Studies and a B.A. in
Political Science. After undergrad, he attended the University of Miami School of Law and graduated with a J.D. with a concentration in Business, Innovation, Law, and Technology and an area of focus in Business Compliance and Sustainability. Jay is currently attending New York University and is a candidate for an Executive L.L.M. in Taxation.

While in law school, Jay was a part of the University of Miami Race & Social Justice Law Review where he was an Article and Comments Editor and the Symposium Co-Chair. In
addition, Jay was a part of a number of societies including the Hispanic Law Students Association, the Entertainment and Sports Law Society, the University of Miami Law Cuban American Bar Association, and the First-Generation Law Association.

Outside of the practice of law, Jay enjoys giving back to and helping students who are interested
in going to law school and was the Lead Dean’s Fellow for Miami Law’s Summer Legal
Academy. In addition, Jay enjoys cooking, watching his favorite sports teams, and spending time
with his family and friends.

Brenda Angel

Brenda is a Paralegal at Florida Justice Law Group assisting with all matters of medical malpractice. She has 10 years experience and is naturally compassionate and an empathetic listener. As well, she is dedicated and passionate about helping those in need.

At Florida Justice Law Group, Brenda is responsible for case management of litigation and pre-suit through trial preparation including, but not limited to – communication with clients and expert witnesses. She assists attorneys with the request and organization of medical records, responding to discovery and with preparation of depositions, mediation, arbitration and trial. She takes pride in the excellence of her work and her ability to contribute to the success of our team.

Brenda received a bachelor’s in Legal Studies from Nova Southeastern University in pursuit of her career as a Paralegal.

Katerina Rodriguez

Katerina is a dedicated legal assistant and intake coordinator currently pursuing a pre-law degree with an expected graduation in 2026. She received a strong academic foundation from the British Cambridge magnet program at Braddock in Miami. Passionate about the law, she is always eager to contribute to meaningful legal work and is looking forward to a future career as an attorney.
